In My Life

September 23, 2005

Love of my life, soul mate, so very grateful to have and to hold for 52 years. Seems like only yesterday’s road trip away but a lifetime away too. Don’t obsess on stuff anymore, just doin’ time. Snowin’ today, Howard Homebody mode.

Remember one of our 47 moves from an upstairs apartment when Ma couldn’t hold the fridge and it chased me. I wore it well… So many of those cherished memories – Love you Ma.

In My Life – Beatles

There are places I’ll remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain

All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends, I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life, I’ve loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new

Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life, I love you more

In my life, I love you more
