Take the Plunge?

Our spot in Garden of the Gods

I’m standing on the shore, afraid to dive into new waters, and I’m afraid because I don’t wanna say goodbye to the mild-mannered, lovelorn, me, the sweet and wonderful me that is here for my oh so much better half, Jenf.

I’m standing there, looking out at my options, the icy blue water, the fast-flowing river, the choppy sea. And they all look very appealing because I’m dying to go for a swim, but I know the water is going to be cold, and the journey is going to be hard. When I reach the other side, I’ll be a new person, and I’m scared to meet that new version of myself.

We all get used to our own personas, and we’re used to our own comfort zones; but, to live, we must keep daring – keep diving.

Just, take the plunge… but why? Alone at last isn’t the way!

But I do Love You – LeAnn Rimes

I don’t like to be alone in the night
And I don’t like to hear I’m wrong when I’m right
And I don’t like to have the rain on my shoe
But I do love you, but I do love you

I don’t like to see the sky painted gray
And I don’t like when nothing’s going my way
And I don’t like to be the one with the blues
But I do love you, but I do love you

Love everything about the way you’re loving me
The way you lay your head
Upon my shoulder when you sleep
And I love to kiss you in the rain
I love everything you do, oh I do

I don’t like to turn the radio on
Just to find I missed my favorite song
And I don’t like to be the last with the news
But I do love you, but I do love you

Love everything about the way you’re loving me
The way you lay your head
Upon my shoulder when you sleep
And I love to kiss you in the rain
I love everything you do, oh I do

And I don’t like to be alone in the night
And I don’t like to hear I’m wrong when I’m right
And I don’t like to have the rain on my shoes
But I do love you but I do love you

But I do love you, but I do love you
