Madly… in Love

December 2003

Ma and I love the season… 50+ years… frenzied in our youth.

But damn, ’tis the season… again…. four years since my so much better half was touched by the end of time.

Still doin’ time, like Howard Homebody. Music is a severe/sincere trigger. Not immune to Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven. Can’t even escape Gun’s & Roses ballads Sweet Child ‘O Mine or Since I Don’t Have You. Soft-and-dreamy ballads are even better triggers compared to rock’n roll.

Fear and air make me want to avoid family visits where background movies might trigger. Coming apart with family, feeling like the 1st day after realizing my so much better half drifted off.

Those are now private moments to share with my so much better half. Family already experienced me coming apart. Its enough, but how to say no to visits without grief, please forgive me isn’t enough? Has to be… we’ll see…

Madly by Emily Vaughn

Fell in love in a taxi
We made out in the backseat, yeah
You’re the only one that asked me if
I’ll do anything you ask me, I

Swear that we’ll get it right
If you wonder how I’m feeling
Just know that I’m always on your side

I gave you more, love me, put you above me
I’m happy when you’re happy
I can’t help that I’m madly in love
In love, in love, in love, oh-oh-oh-oh
In love, in love, oh

Yeah, don’t know what I did before you
But I know that I adore you, ah-ah
If you’re wondering if I care, just-
Say the word and I’ll be right there

Yeah, I swear that we’ll get it right
If you wonder how I’m feeling
Just know that I’m always on your side (oh)
